Overview
Matte vehicles are stunning, but they require the right paint protection to remain so. A recent client brought in a brand-new Genesis GV70 with a sleek black factory matte paint. They had a simple but important request: to maintain the car’s premium satin finish while protecting it against daily wear, stone chips, scratches, and contaminants.

Challenges
Working with factory matte finishes is always more challenging. Unlike gloss paint, matte paint cannot be polished or corrected if scratched, which means every detail of the installation needs to be meticulous.
Additionally, the GV70 has large body panels and complex curves, which require the PPF to be precisely fitted. We took our time to ensure that the PPF was properly cut and fitted so that there was complete coverage without altering the sleek lines or texture of the finish.
Solution
