Overview
In a welcomed challenge that saw our team wrap our most expensive car yet, Peninsula Tint and Paint Protection were tasked with installing paint protection for a Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster.
The owner of the Lamborghini is a repeat customer of Peninsula Tint, trusting our team with paint protection installation for his other range of cars. As it was a luxury car, the Lamborghini needed a superior PPF that could protect the car’s exterior from any impurities and external elements.
Challenges
Installing PPF on a Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster was complex for a few reasons:
- The car had challenging body curves and panels, especially at the rear bumper splitter. This required technical skills and knowledge of the car’s make and model to ensure a perfect finish.
- Because of its intricate exterior, the vehicle needed 96 pieces of cut-up film. Most average-sized vehicles require half that amount. For example, a Ford Everest requires only 30 pieces.
Solution
We recommended the Full Body Protection Package for the Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster and installed the XPEL Ultimate Fusion paint protection film.
To cover the car’s entire body, we expertly cut the film pieces with our Graphtec plotting machine and XPEL's very own Design Access Program (DAP) software. This ensured that the film was fitted with absolute accuracy, and we could cover even tiny crevices with PPF.
The overall installation process took two weeks to complete. This included washing the vehicle to remove impurities, meticulously removing paint imperfections, and carefully applying the film.
The XPEL Ultimate Fusion was also selected as the logical choice for the vehicle. It is a high-end film with a high gloss that will protect the car from light scratches, rock chips, and scuffs. The XPEL Ultimate Fusion also has the following properties:

- Improves surface clarity: Creates a smooth and sleek appearance for the vehicle.
